The Green Tree Cottages are also perfectly situated for the traveler, traveling from Durban or East London, on the way to Port Elizabeth or Cape Town, looking for a stay over place to break the tiresome journey.

The Green Tree Cottage started off as one cottage, which used to be an old garage, which turned out to be a very spacious and popular Guest Room for visitor's visiting the Addo National park and surroundings. Deciding to expand the business Johan & Lezl saw the opportunity for two more cottages in an old farm shop close to their home, and a fourth cottage next to it. .

All four the cottages are very spacious, all with own entrance, en-suite bathrooms, veranda and secure parking. All the rooms have clock radios, television, ceiling fans, bar fridges with condiments, tee/coffee facilities, hairdryers, bathrobes and bathing towels for the pool.

The Porcupine Cottage" (Cottage No 1) has a double bed and two twin beds, this room will be allocated to guest that prefer twin beds, or a group of 3 people wanting to share a room. The bathroom consists of a bath and shower, done in stone to give it that earthy, organic feel.

"The Springbuck Cottage" (Cottage No 2) has a double bed with an extra bunk bed in it for guest with children. It is the only cottage with its own fully equipped kitchen, should you maybe want to do self-catering. The bathroom is en-suite with large shower, toilet and basin. 

"The Bushuck Cottage" (Cottage No 3) is a double room with en-suite wet room (huge shower). All the cottages have a lovely view, and from the patio’s you can see guinea fowl and farm animals in the fields and enjoy the calm of the Eastern Cape sunsets.

“The Kudu Cottage” (Cottage 4) is also a Double room, with king size bed, the cottage also has a spacious en-suite bathroom with large shower, and as all the other cottages, gives you enough space, to ensure a very comfortable stay.

All the cottages are tastefully furnished with Cape cottage furniture and a hint of Africa to create a tasteful southern African interior, which gives a warm homely feel. The Green Tree’s facilities and the warm hospitality given by Johan & Lezl make this a lovely home experience away from home.

A scrumptious breakfast is served in the spacious and inviting dining room, where supper is also available in the evenings by prior arrangement. There is a bar area for pre-dinner drinks and a fireplace for those chilly winter evenings.

Guests are welcome to walk around the farm, see the dairy, and look at the bird and animal life, kudu, bush pig, duiker and porky pine or some of the animals that can be seen.  Swim in the swimming pool on those warm summer days, or enjoy reading under the trees in the tranquil garden.
For the bird lover, you can visit the Nukakamma Canoe trail (26 km), and do bird watching from a Canoe on the Sundays River, or take a walk along the beach at Colchester and see the beautiful moving sand dunes of the Eastern Cape.  The Woody Cape Nature reserve and forest close to Alexandria (part of the Greater Addo) is also a gem to visit for the Nature Enthusiast.
