Set on fifty acres of rolling farmland, Fiddlewood, with its beautiful gardens, is an oasis of peace and tranquillity, yet only minutes from all the amenities of Howick. Your hosts Jenni and Pete offer a warm welcome and, as seasoned travellers with several years experience in the hospitality industry, guarantee you a memorable stay.

We offer guests the choice of luxurious rooms in house or stunning, private, self-contained cottages; all of which are provided with fresh flowers, generous hospitality trays, hairdryer, radio alarms, tissues, toiletries, electric blankets, a fan and radiator. Braai facilities, swimming or relaxing by the sparkling pool, fishing, walking and birding are all available, on site. Well behaved dogs with responsible owners are welcome.

Our two B&B rooms have full use of a guest lounge, with large screen TV, equipped with DSTV, DVD player & a surround sound system. Alternatively, they can relax in front of a roaring log fire.
- Our Agapanthus Room is a delightfully airy room with double aspect views over the garden. There is a queen size bed, comfortable seating and a spacious en suite, with a shower.
- The Blue Room also has garden views, as well as the soothing sound of running water from our courtyard pond. Twin beds (can be converted into a king-size), comfortable seating.

The SC Cottages are: 
- Flavour of Africa, situated in shady woodland, offers just a touch of ethnic ambience with its log furniture while Oriental Cottage with its silk paintings, rattan and bamboo furniture provides a hint of the Far East.
These cottages with their individual décor are perfect for couples wanting a quiet break away. Both have a cosy lounge with TV, (own card for DSTV), log-burning stove & comfortable seating, a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom (queen size bed) and a large bathroom with shower. Each cottage has a totally private verandah with stunning views.

Bergview (sleeps up to 7) and Lakeside (sleeps up to 6) Cottages:
- Our larger cottages are suitable for families or couples travelling together. Each has two en suite bedrooms (choice of bath or shower), a huge lounge with fully equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as a spacious verandah, overlooking a lake. In the lounge there is TV (DSTV with own card) and a log-burning stove, while extra guests can be accommodated on a sleeper couch.

Garden Cottage:
- We recommend this cottage for families with smaller children, as it is not too close to the lakes or pool. Sleeping 3-5 people, there is a large bedroom with a king-size bed (can be converted into two singles), a separate kitchen / dining room, a modern bathroom with shower, as well as a huge lounge with comfortable seating for 6, a sleeper couch and an annexe just off it, containing a single bed. Like the other cottages, there is a log fire and TV (DSTV with own smart card.) Outside, there is seating, overlooking a private area of the garden.
