Basambilu is situated in a township called Lulekani which is found in Phalaborwa under the BA-PHALABORWA municipality "THE CLEANEST MUNIPALITY IN THE COUNTRY".



Basambilu offers 24 dorm beds in three thatched huts, each hut consist of 4 bunk beds (8 persons). There are a communal kitchen and ablution block. R90.00 per person per night self catering.

2 luxury thatched rooms with double bed, TV and en-suite bathroom are also available. R195.00 per person sharing - R250.00 single supplement.



Our swimming pool is available to guests and the public. On site we have an entertainment area with pool tables, and a big screen TV, a bar serving all popular refreshments, a restaurant, a camping site facility (20 guests) for the overland explorer and a conference facility for up to 50 delegates. Book your bed in advance. Our restaurant is famous for its African cuisine and vibrant contemporary African atmosphere.



Traditional dances or contemporary township dances can be experienced when one attends "Lulekani Township Tour". The Township tour is ideal for guests in near by Hotels & Lodges. The following tours are offered:

- Blyde River Canyon tour.

- Our famous Lulekani Township tour which is an ideal tour for guests visiting Phalaborwa. 

Proceeds from this tour support the LekaGape Shelter, also in Lulekani. Abused women, homeless children and youth can find a save haven and support here.
