Heron Guest House is a double story, thatchroofed house situated in a quiet, secure area of Phalaborwa which can accommodate businessmen, overnighters or permanent residence. The house sleeps up to 6 persons and is available on B&B or Self catering basis.
The comfortable lounge is furnished with TV, Sattv ( Dstv facilities) and a DVD Player. 1 bedroom upstairs with a double bed, 2 bedrooms downstairs, one with 2 single beds, the other with a double bed. All rooms are airconditioned. Separate bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet.
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, hub, microwave, fridge, toaster and coffeemachine. If you don't feel like cooking, breakfast and dinner can arranged on request. Phalaborwa has several fine restaurants.
Next to the swimming pool you will find the lapa with a braai area and comfortable chairs.
Phalaborwa is the ideal place from where to discover all great things Limpopo and North-Mpumalanga have to offer. The scenery in the area is not to be missed, with boat cruises on the Blyde dam, visits to Kapama (world renowned cheetah project), the world-famous Moholoholo Rehabilitation Center (birds of prey), Tshukudu (walk with the wild), and various cultural heritage sites such as the Museum of Mankind. The subtropical area between Tzaneen and Haenertsburg ( Magoebaskloof ) offers ample hiking and fishing possibilities. For true African culture wander north into the Venda region and Giyani.
God's window, Blyde River Canyon, Sabie and Pilgrim's rest are all within a day's drive from Phalaborwa. A visit to the picturesque village of Graskop would not be complete without a pancake at Harry's Pancake Den.
