Phalaborwa (KNP), Valley of the Olifants, Limpopo

Named after the hill 12 kms inside the Kruger National Park, Masorini Bush Lodge, is set in the heart of the African Bush. The lodge is 10 minutes north of Phalaborwa and is conveniently close to the town as well as the Phalaborwa Gate of the KNP and the Hans Merensky Golf Course.

The lodge can accommodate 16 guests at one time in spacious self-catering A-frames chalets ( sleeping 2 persons each ) with en-suite bathroom and a large private patio with kitchenette and braai facility (barbeque).

The thatched lapa houses the dining area, fully licensed bar, reception and kitchen. Meals are served in the lapa with its open dining area and pub overlooking a drinking trough in the bush, which is frequented by various animals including Duiker, Impala, Warthog and Waterbuck. Dinner is accompanied by the flickering flames of the camp fire and the night sounds of the African bush.

A lovely swimming pool is adjacent the lapa where one can laze the day away or cool off after the day’s activities. Two short walks of 1.5kms or 2kms respectively are available within the boundary of the farm where one can take a leisurely stroll through the bush. 

We organize weekend or tailormade bush break packages for golfers who also appreciate wildlife and the African bush. Golf is played at the unique Hans Merensky Golf Course and the package can include:- drives, walks & braais in the KNP.  

Or spend 3 hours on the Olifants River enjoying sundowners and a braai while watching hippos, crocodiles and an abundance of water birds and other wildlife of the Klaserie Reserve.

We arrange for our guests to take part in any of the following Game Safaris conducted by qualified and registered SANP guides in an open vehicle:
- Walks - morning / afternoon / sunset
- Afternoon walk & night drive combination
- Night drive followed by a bush braai 

Adventure activities include:
- river rafting, quad bikes, horse-back riding among wildlife/outriding.
- Kapama cheetah and wild dog breeding centre
- Maholoholo wild life and birds of prey Rehabilitation Centre
- White lions of Timbavati
- Tsukudu Game Farm – walk with the animals
