Phalaborwa (KNP), Valley of the Olifants, Limpopo

Phalaborwa and its surrounding area is a tourists paradise with unspoiled wide open spaces dotted with Mopani, Marula and Leadwood trees and a great variety of wildlife and birds. Phalaborwa means "Better than the South", the area is characterized by unspoiled scenery and natural beauty. Phalaborwa borders the Kruger National Park and is around 4km from the Phalaborwa Gate which has served as the most convenient entry point to the Northern and Southern areas of Kruger National Park since 1961.

Relax and enjoy the hospitality of a home away from home with farm style cooking that will make you lick your fingers. If you stay long enough you will have to support our local outfitters as well! Uncle Tom’s Guest House, a Three Star establishment, is situated about 3 km. from the Kruger National Park Gate and just off the main road leading to the Gate. From both our guesthouses you have easy access to the centre of town, sports grounds and hospital. We are very affordable, but still see our way clear to allow a pensioners discount.

Whether you arrive exhausted or not, you will find the rooms as well as the garden comfortable and relaxing, with safe parking and lockup gate, a pool and braai facilities.

Accommodation is offered in:

- Three rooms in a lush garden, each with two beds and separate entrances. En suite bathrooms and a verandah overlooking the garden. Every room contains a fridge, kettle, TV and microwave and air conditioning. Safe parking for all visitors. Dinner and breakfast available through prior arrangement. Pick up at the airport or town entrance.

- A separate flat with an en-suite bathroom. Self catering facilities with air-conditioning and TV. Includes separate parking.

- A private house with seven rooms and a lush tropical garden. Each room can accommodate three people and have separate entrances. Each room contains a fridge, kettle, TV and microwave. Air conditioned with en suite bathrooms and a verandah overlooking the garden.

A central Braai (BBQ) area with a portable braai available for guests. A central, fully equipped kitchen is available for guests. Safe parking on the premises. Dinner and breakfast can be arranged. Pick up at the airport or town entrance.
