Westlodge was architecturally designed and built in 1998 in a Victorian style as a B & B and is our home.
We have five, luxury, en-suite bedrooms which have been stylishly decorated. Four of the rooms have full bathrooms with both a shower and bath, satellite, TV, oil heaters and hospitality trays.The bed configuration varies from three-quarter to king sized beds.
Our two luxury and stylishly decorated Garden Suites are situated in a detached wing but connected to the main building by means of a covered verandah. The rooms face north and overlook our rose garden.These rooms have both a bath and separate shower with hand basin and a separate WC and bidet. Satellite TV and hospitality tray have been provided for your comfort .
Rozen is our luxury en-suite bedroom for a romantic stay. This charming room faces north and is secluded at the rear, north-western corner of one of the building's wings, away from the road. It is quiet and faces a garden with trees and shrubs. Situated on the ground floor, at the end of a private verandah, it has its own entrance. The room has a king sized bed; Victorian cast iron bath; separate shower; two vanity hand basins; separate WC and bidet with satellite TV and hospitality tray
There are two luxury en-suite bedrooms on the first floor of the main house which face east overlooking ‘Fairyland’. A private lounge furnished in cane is situated between the two rooms which also share an open balcony from which to enjoy the view on a warm, balmy evening.
The ‘Madelief’ room with its twin three-quarter beds, is on the southern side of the building and has a separate shower and bath with hand basin and WC.
The ‘Wedgewood’ room with its queen sized bed, on the northern side of the building facing God’s Window in the distance, has a shower over the bath with hand basin and WC.
"Martins" is on the ground floor with its own private entrance; this en-suite bedroom with its double bed, also faces north. The bathroom has a spacious shower with hand basin; WC and bidet. It does not have TV but does have a hospitality tray.
We serve either a full health breakfast or full English cooked breakfast in the dining area, decorated with period oak antique furniture. We will pack a breakfast/picnic basket in lieu of breakfast for those guests who wish to make an early start to visit the Kruger National Park whilst staying with us.
Graskop is in the heart of Mpumalanga and is the most central village to all the scenic routes. Within a 60km radius of “Westlodge” you may visit The Pinnacle, God’s Window, The Rain Forest, Wonder View, Lisbon and Berlin waterfalls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon (reputed to be the third largest in the world), the Three Rondavels, Pilgrim’s Rest, The Natural Bridge, Maria Shires and MacMac waterfalls, MacMac Pools, Sabie and the Horseshoe, Bridal Vale and Lone Creek waterfalls.
