Brackenhill Lodge is a friendly, cosy and charming up market B&B set in a tranquil large indigenous garden with a trout dam, mini gym with steamroom, tennis courts, swimming pool, lovely walks and gorgeous mountain views. There is abundant bird life and flora to be seen in the rambling 400 acre property where three professional walking trails have been marked out for your enjoyment.

All rooms are bright and airy with their own entrances and veranda and have all the necessary mod cons to make you stay comfortable and relaxed. We have eight rooms, all en-suite with their own verandahs, and all rooms are equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable (TV with 5 stations, tea trays, fridges, hair dryers, telephone, mosquito nets, fans, heaters, complimentary toiletries, etc.). Guests have use of their own dining room and lounge with a lovely fireplace for cold evenings.
We have wire-less internet access.
A delicious English and Continental breakfast is available (included in the price) and dinners are available on request. It is a set three-course menu, vegetarians are catered for on request, and you finish off your home cooked meal with cheese, biscuits and tea or coffee. Our water is all fresh spring water from our own spring, and eggs and fresh vegetables from our farm.

The Lodge has a mini-gym for use by guests only and also swimming pool, tennis court and trampoline. The area is excellent for birdwatching, and we have marked walking trails in the mountains, and fly-fishing in a dam on the property.

Brackenhill is an ideal friendly stopover for any holidays going through to the Kruger National Park, Mozambique or other parts of Southern Africa.

Rates for 2010 are: from R790.00 for a Double Room from R570.00 for a Single. These rates in include bed & breakfast and we offer 3 course home cooked Dinners for an additional R171.00 each – advance booking essential. Children under 12 can be accommodated on a mattress in the adults room free of charge – except meals. Not ideal but it does work.
